系列賽第三戰，灰熊回到主場，終於逼得馬刺使出渾身解數，主將雷納德打了42分鐘，靠著第四節最後13比6攻勢才分出勝負，馬刺96比87，拿下三連勝，準備晉級。

年度最佳防守球員雷納德(Kawhi Leonard)打出史詩般成績，他投進自己生涯季後賽新高6記三分球，得到32分，平個人季後賽最高得分紀錄。另外有7籃板、4抄截、5阻攻。令人吃驚的是上場42分鐘，沒有任何失誤或犯規。歷史上能有30分4抄截5阻攻以上成績者，包含例行賽在內，從未有過無失誤、無犯規。事實上，此前在季後賽有類似成績的也只有歐拉朱萬(Hakeem Olajuwon)和賈奈特(Kevin Garnett)兩人。

馬刺老將鄧肯(Tim Duncan)也達成了生涯里程碑，他在季後賽出賽244場，追平前隊友霍瑞(Robert Horry)，名列史上第二，僅次湖人冠軍隊成員費雪(Derek Fisher，259場季後賽出賽)。而154場季後賽勝利，也追平名人堂球星賈霸(Kareem Abdul-Jabbar)紀錄，名列史上第三，前兩名便是費雪(161勝)和霍瑞(155勝)。

快要被橫掃的灰熊，賽前又傷了前鋒馬丁(Jarell Martin)，名單中只剩10人可用，開賽跳球甚至派出了6呎7吋高的前鋒巴恩斯(Matt Barnes)。整場球前仆後繼搶攻籃下，全場抓下15個進攻籃板，禁區得分44比28，二次進攻更是18分比1分遙遙領先馬刺。

灰熊總教練耶格(David Joerger)感嘆球隊，無庸置疑，我們打球靠的是心。

馬刺總教練波波維奇(Gregg Popovich)也讚美耶格的策略成功，努力帶領灰熊打出強悍球風並且施壓讓馬刺遲遲無法進入狀況。

雙方第四戰將在台北時間4月25日凌晨1:00進行。
